Why is it that so many players didn’t come to play when so much was at stake? We were playing for a spot in the finals and another victory.

We were severely down in our physical aspect of the game. We only had 7 tackles to half time.

Our discipline and decision making resulted in a severe negative free kick count of 31 to 20.

Chris Schmidt was terrific in the midfield but had little support from his team-mates in that area.

Our forwards in Webb and Fisher looked ready to cut the game apart, but we couldn’t get the ball in there often enough. It was hard to watch our reluctance to kick inside 50.

A couple of our backs struggled to track their opponents and looked under pressure to provide any run.

Our performance was poor, but yet we were in it all night.

I have just looked at the ladder and it seems 5th spot is still available if we are prepared to take every opportunity to grab it.
