  Next week we have an opportunity to honour the players of our 1961 Premiership team. I urge all West Adelaide members, supporters and fans to get down to City Mazda Stadium on Friday 27th May to see them presented to the crowd before the League game.

  Following yesterday's article in the Advertiser regarding allegations of racial abuse towards Daniel Motlop of the Port Adelaide Football Club while representing North Adelaide against West Adelaide earlier in the season, the Club was aware of the incident, investigated the allegations but was unable to identify the person(s) involved.

  The 2011 football season is less than a month away, the pre-season training program has finished and trial matches begin this weekend with all grades playing South Adelaide at Hickinbotham Oval (Reserves 3:40pm / League 6:40pm).

  If you had asked the football department at the start of the season whether they would have been happy to have more wins than loses by the time we got to the 2nd bye of the season, the answer would have been “yes”.
